New Block of the Month

Great news! We are starting a new block of the month the first week of January! This block of the month is different than our current block of the month. It is called Civil War Tribute, and the fabrics used are Judie Rothermel. We love our Judie Rothermel! It's a 12 month block, and you pay as you go.
Each month you will come in anytime after the 1st week of the month and pick up your yardage. This is not a pre-cut block. There will be more than one block to complete each month. The finished quilt is 100" x 112". By the end of the 12 months you will have enough fabric to complete the entire top and the binding.
Come in or call the shop to sign up, as space is limited!!

Fall is here!

All this cold weather means one thing... TIME FOR CRAFTING! No more yard work to be done, kids are at school and our crock pots are doing the cooking for dinner. That leaves us lots of time to be behind a sewing machine, knitting a sweater or hand stitching the latest Block of the Month!

Speaking of what else it's time for, our October shop hop is nearly hear! The Steppin' Out Quilt Tour 2009 starts in less than two weeks. Are you ready? For details check out this site: http://www.steppinoutquilttour.com/index.html.

Pincushion of the month details are available on our site now as well.

We are in the process of rearranging the site, so make sure to stop over and get reacquainted!

More to come soon!

Where did the summer go?

What happened to July and August?! Oh that's right, we were preparing for September and October!! We've been so busy getting wonderful kits, classes, and shop hops organized for you. In fact there is a shop hop going on right now. The Jingle Bell Shop Hop is comprised of 10 area stores offering you the best in needle crafts. Stop by, we're open extra early all week (9am) and Saturday we don't close until 5pm!

We also have another shop hop coming up in October. This one involves 13 stores (WOW!). It's $5.00 for a passport and you get a nice tote bag and small gifts from each store. More details to follow.

Don't forget our Block of the Month has started, but you still have time to get in on it. We are offering a Civil War or Floral choice for our fabric. That is $30 up front for the whole year! We also have two new choices. We are doing a Wool BOM this year. This block will be a pay as you go block and you will applique your wool pieces onto either a piece of wool or brushed homespun (your choice).

Our newest monthly choice is a Pincushion of the Month! We are so lucky to have it designed by the very talented Lisa Schiller. Each month's pincushion will lend to that month's holiday or time of year. But don't expect your average pincushion every month. October's is going to be a 3-dimensional witches hat! The pincushions will also be pay-as-you-go.

As you can tell we have lots of things to keep you busy as the weather cools down at AnnaLouisa's! Stop by and see us soon!
